Amanda Hill Joins A+E Networks As Intl Creative Head
A+E Networks® has appointed Amanda Hill as Chief Creative Officer, International. The announcement was made today by Sean Cohan, Executive Vice President, International, to whom Ms. Hill will be reporting.
In this role, Ms. Hill will oversee international marketing, communication and programing teams across A+E Networks’ global portfolio. Ms. Hill will be responsible for managing and growing marketing in support of A+E brands and businesses, including brand strategy, consumer and B2B marketing, on-air creative execution, communications and research for rapid-growth channels, program sales, and digital businesses around the world. In addition, Ms. Hill will be in charge of all content for the division, including development of original programming and co-productions, as well as strategic management of A+E Networks’ content sourced from domestic networks, locally and globally produced and acquired.

Prior to joining A+E Networks, Ms. Hill was Chief Brands Officer BBC Worldwide since December 2012. While at the BBC, Ms. Hill was responsible for developing the overarching brand strategy for all of BBC Worldwide's businesses and formats and maximizing the value of their international and multi-format properties. This included leading the development of the BBC master brand internationally and creating and leading the global launches of BBC Worldwide's three genre brands that showcase the BBC's premium content in drama through BBC First; factual content through BBC Earth and factual entertainment through BBC Brit. Amanda also managed the brand portfolio of 14 BBC Global Brands including Dancing with the Stars, Top Gear and Doctor Who while also developing and building new brands to protect and develop future brand revenue growth.
Ms. Hill joined BBC Worldwide in 2003 having previously worked across a portfolio of FMCG brands at L'Oreal and at Added Value, leading the development and re-positioning of global brands. At BBC Worldwide she was responsible for creating a new factual entertainment brand BBC Earth which in just four years under her leadership moved into theatric releases with the launch of BBC Earth Films, found new audiences on YouTube and entered into the lucrative giant screen market.
