A+E Networks Boosts Intl Formats Sales Team

NEW YORK – A+E Networks® has expanded its International Formats Sales Team, it was announced today by Ellen Lovejoy, Vice President International Content Sales.

Naomi Koh has been named Director, International Format Sales; Paul Hardy was appointed International Roving Executive Producer; and Robyn Hurd, Senior Director, International Content Sales takes on an expanded role managing Format Sales in EMEA with direct responsibility for the UK and EMEA.

“Naomi, Paul and Robyn are talented executives who bring an enormous breadth of experience to the format sales team,” said Lovejoy. “Each has wealth of experience and the commercial acumen to develop and implement Format Sales Strategies. They will make valuable contributions to the format team as we further expand our efforts globally.”

Koh joins A+E Networks from Channel 5, where she served as Head of Studio Partnerships. In this role, she managed the Channel 5 content production fund for commissions across the Viacom channels. Previously she was at Zodiac where she negotiated and completed sales of television programmes, dramas and formats with broadcasters and producers from Central Eastern Europe and Asia. Koh reports to Hurd.

In his new role as International Roving Executive Producer, Paul Hardy moves from the Lifetime US development team to A+E Networks’ International program development team. In his new role, Hardy will support the sales and creative execution of format sales to third party production companies, platforms and global format partners. Since joining A+E Networks in 2013 as VP, Reality Programming at Lifetime, he has worked successful series such as Celebrity Home Raiders, Living with the Enemy and True Tori. Prior to joining A+E Networks, Hardy was Director of Program Development at truTV, overseeing unscripted series such as Swamp Hunters, The Weiner’s Circle, Killer Karaoke and Guinness Book of World Records. Hardy reports to Sally Habbershaw, Vice President, International Programming, Production and Operations.

Robyn Hurd expands her role as Senior Director, International Content Sales, adding oversight of Format Sales in EMEA, directly overseeing the UK market. Hurd also manages content distribution in the UK, Ireland, Benelux, Ukraine, Belarus and Russia. Prior to joining A+E Networks in 2014, Hurd worked for Drive Television, Ltd and held senior sales positions at Target Entertainment, Endemol Distribution and Celador International. Hurd will report to Lovejoy on format sales and continue reporting to Denis Cantin, Vice President, Head of Content Sales, EMEA on program sales.
